WA in Oberhausen, tuesday, 19th

Postby Ebo on Wed Feb 20, 2013 9:11 pm

Another fine WA night. The venue wasn't packed, but there were enough folks to welcome WA on stage and to sing a happy birthday to Andy. Our guys were on fire and had a lot of fun on stage. The setlist was the same as in Osnabrück. So I had the chance to hear Lifeline, Surface on Air and Man with no name for the first time live. Great songs and I'm absolutely sure that the band's singing has really progressed because Time was and Surface are not very easy to sing. Andy did a great show in spite of his injured arm. He's simply the best! It was great to meet Peter, Monika and Wolfram and to have a chat with Bob and Daniel (who did a great job as always) after the show. We're looking forward to Dortmund next sunday where we want to say farewell to the guys before they leave Germany.
Best wishes to all the Ash-heads from
Ebo, Verena and Eileen

I forgot to mention that they played Beacon instead of Blowing free and an extended reggae part at the end of Phoenix, just to please Peter, I suppose. :D

Hey, that is really nice! A signed cymbal :-) Amazing!

I also find the shirt sporting "pics as ever on..." EXTREMELY classy :-) I just found out that this man I have been wondering if he is Peter for quite some years actually really is Peter (twin guitars). I could have simply asked I guess! Next time I will say "HI". Great work, I am in a time capsule right now, it is early February again :-)
