RSD 2016 - Bonafide

Postby quickben on Sat Apr 16, 2016 9:03 am

With Bonafide released on vinyl for first time as part of Record Store Day it was a pleasant feeling getting to the front of the queue and finding that it was still available. Looking forward to giving it a spin later but hope some of the other collectors of vinyl also manage to get their hands on it. Not sure if the band may get any to sell on the merchandise stand on tour?

Have to agree with the new dimension of sound. Wah-wah on Almighty Blues, far more organ on FH&L, nuances on the backing vocals on Ancient Remedy etc, etc. Needs another couple of listens to let it seep in. Have to say though listening to Enigma last night, lights off whilst the stars came out was stunning

One bonus: I can actually read the lyrics and cover notes - there's nothing to replace a decent lyric sheet.
All the Best

Martin.

Kinda funny how things turn around.....when CD's became a thing, folks used to marvel about the clarity of those recordings.
