Just read a fantastic, well illustrated article in this month's Classic Rock about the band, written by the esteemed Mick Wall and inspired by the release of 'The Vintage Years' box set, which really is a classy product. The magazine also leads in its Reviews section with a glowing evaluation of 'The Vintage Years'. It is so pleasing that finally the UK media is beginning to acknowledge properly the historical greatness of Wishbone Ash, especially the Mark 1 & 2 versions, and the extraordinary influence and longevity of its music. It also validates the incredible career and commitment of Andy Powell who has kept the name of the band extant for nearly 50 years: as the other members receive their well deserved royalties from this amazing project, they would do well to reflect on what they owe to Andy's dedication to keep the ashes aflame over all these years. The twin barrels really are burning in 2018!!
Here is another review that I have just come across. Presumably American, but pretty decent, it gives not only a review of the box set but also a history lesson!
The page does take a long time to load but it is worth a look.
BTW I thought the Mick Wall article was poor, although it was nice to see a major article on the band in Classic Rock.
