Record Store Day 2018 - new WA vinyl

Postby dayglo on Thu Mar 29, 2018 8:48 am

https://recordstoreday.co.uk/releases/r ... hbone-ash/

this seems to be a double LP of bits and pieces from the 4 Roadworks cds

dont quite see the point myself but will be "one for the collection" for some people!

Just received. Packaging is typical Talking Elephant with shiny sleeve much in the same way as Bona Fide, Illuminations etc and overly-snug inner sleeves that are likely to create surface marks on the vinyl.

Sound is a massive improvement on the CDs with Joe and Bob really coming through. How I miss Muddy!

Only disappointment with the material is that the shortened CD version of TKWC from Ashcon is used rather than the full length version only available on download from Bandcamp. By preference I would have liked side D to be the full length version of Phoenix from Ashcon instead of the 3 tracks chosen, but small matter as I do have that as flac download.
