Thanks Geo and Brian Bannister.

I can confirm all systems go for the 5th at County Bar. I have spoken personally with Brian at the venue and he has sorted PA system and will have food available on the night. I have sent some "posters" to the venue too. Hope we don't cause as much confusion as last time when venue thought Wishbone Ash were playing not Wishclone ish! (sound familiar?)

I've told them that this is Michael Day's Wishclone Ish! but sent them a picture of Andy and the boys - only joking!

Keep practising!

Mike

Incidentally, FD, I seem to remember after the Edinburgh gig last year you wrote something like: "Ashcon 2010 - me and Broonee concocted a fiendish wheeze whilst going to the Chantel McGregor gig in Newcastle last night."

If I can quote Phil Collins for a moment...We Wait And We Wonder. ;)

He waits; that's what he does.

'Here's to you, Ahab'.

Chesterfield Hotel just booked today.
If anyone is looking for late deals PM me as they have a bit of a sneaky deal going which you do need to ask about.
Ibis is full now according to their online booking page.
Just about 2 weeks til the Scottish invasion down there.
Bring it on.

Spoke today with County Bar - they are all set up for us on Friday and will have food available between about 7.30 - 9.00pm. Simple stuff like chilli con carne and a chicken curry (not together - well maybe?!).

Music wise - they are getting the PA in etc.

I have supplied some gig "posters" to add to the effect!

Last night at the WA Reading gig Andy gave the Friday Night a plug from that stage which was great.

I'm getting over a bad cold but looking forward to playing - just hope Nick and I haven't both learnt the same guitar parts in Northern Lights (Muddy was chuffed when he heard it was going to be on setlist! - mind you he hasn't heard it yet!).

To those who are playing - keep practising and to everyone . . .

See you there!

Mike
